The Fitz
At Welborne Garden Village, The Fitz is a beautiful three storey, four-bedroom semi-detached home. Perfect for growing families or for those who need a little more space.
This new home is named after the Fitzherbert and Fitzwalter families, who owned significant amounts of land and had considerable influence during the Middle Ages within the Hampshire area.
During this time these families had notable influence, with many members of the family serving as lieutenants and representing the county in the House of Commons.

Hall Place, located not far from Welborne and officially called Bentworth Hall, serves as a point of connection between the Des Roches and Fitzherbert families.
During the time of Peter Des Roches, he briefly owned the manor and in the 1800s, it is documented that Mary Fitzherbert, the mother of eleven children, became its owner.
