Radley road improvement works
We will be using this page to keep residents of Radley and the surrounding area up to date with the essential road improvement works around the Foxborough Junction, off Radley Road and White's Lane.
Timeline for works
Phase one
The first element will involve establishing where the many utilities and services are located in the vicinity. This will involve strategic reduction in vegetation in selected areas to ensure that we are working safely. Other than the visible changes, we hope that this investigation will have limited disruption to residents.
Phase two
The second part of the works will take place next year to improve the road layout and design. This will eventually change the current road and cycle networks and involve alternative routes whilst the approved plans are being implemented.
Notices
September 2025: Essential investigation work in the Foxborough Junction area to identify the utilities present to ensure that future road improvement works are conducted safely. Resident communications sent and community noticeboards installed.
October 2025: Essential tree clearance work is anticipated to commence in early December, subject to road space approval from Oxfordshire County Council.
November 2025: Tree clearance work confirmed for first week of December.
December 2025: Investigation works will be taking place place from 19th January 2026 with traffic management in place to ensure the work is undertaken safely.
