Pye Homes
Pye Homes started building houses in Oxford, 79 years ago and before the war, had extended house building operations from Oxford to Reading, Cheltenham and Bristol. In 1942, the company was one of the first to register with what is now the National House Building Council and today is an active member of the House Builders Federation.
Since the war, housing building has continued in these main areas and in the 1970's the company extended its area to Canada.
Pye Homes are familiar with the infrastructure constraints of large scale developments. In the 1970's and 1980's Pye was the largest developer at Lower Earley, Reading the largest private development completed in the UK at that time. It is equally familiar with smaller scale development and the emphasis on design, quality, security and mobility in housing layouts.

In the South West, the company has been active in the main urban areas of Bristol and Cheltenham in particular. In the Cheltenham area Pye Homes has developed at Warden Hill, Leckhampton Lane, Prestbury Chase and Tivoli Place - a total of over 1000 new homes. The company continues to balance its longer term opportunities with negotiations on current land and in line with the emphasis in Government policy regarding urban redevelopment opportunities.
